2022 KSFL Playoffs
  • Maryland School for the Deaf defeats Perkiomen School 46-18 to claim the 2022 KSFL championship. Orioles are the third different champion in the three years of league competition. 
2022 KSFL Playoffs
  • Maryland School for the Deaf dominates Model Secondary School for the Deaf, 52-8, to earn a berth in the championship in the Orioles first year in the league. 
  • Perkiomen School continues its late season surge, defeating Mercersburg Academy 42-36 in a contest that was knotted at 14-14 at the half. Panthers, who are the only team to defeat MSD this year, earn a rematch in the championship game.

    • Congratulations on an exciting season.  The three-way tie-breaker information is included here, followed by the results and sites for next week. 

    • The KSFL Rule for TIe Breakers taken, directly from the rules of play: In the event of a three-way tie, the tie will be broken by the following criteria: 

      • Fewest points allowed in league play (MSD allowed 52 pts, Perk 112, M-burg 114)

        • MSD is thus the #1 seed.​

      • Fewest points allowed vs the next seeded team(s) (higher first, then lower) Not Needed

      • Points differential in league play (avg margin of victory). Not Needed

    • Once the three-way tie is broken, the remaining two-way tie to determine standings will be the head-to-head result between those two teams.

      • Mercersburg defeated Perkiomen and is the #2 seed.

    • MSD will host Model next weekend either Friday or Saturda

    • Mercersburg hosts Perkiomen Saturday.

Week 7 (10/28-29)
  • Model punches its ticket to the post-season with a 50-0 victory over Randolph Macon Academy on Friday evening.
  • Mercersburg defeats Valley Forge Military Academy 46-8 on Senior Day for the Blue Storm.  
  • Proving that 'Any Given Saturday' applies in the KSFL, Perkiomen stages a come-from-behind victory over MSD, 20-14, forcing a three way tie for first place in the league.
  • Playoff 
Week 6 (10/22)
  • Perkiomen School and Mercersburg Academy punch tickets to the post-season, both with solid victories. The Panthers down Randolph Macon Academy 46-28, while the Blue Storm defeats Delaware County Christian School 30-14. Both teams now 4-1 in league play, one game behind MSD. 
    • Playoff Picture Twist 1-Perk's only loss is to Mercersburg. Mercersburg's only loss is to MSD. Perk hosts MSD to close out the regular season next weekend, while Mercersburg faces Valley Forge Military Academy. Should the Blue Storm and the Panthers win, league officials would go to the tiebreaker criteria to determine seeding. 
    • Playoff Picture Twist 2-Model secured a playoff berth when Mercersburg defeated Delaware County Christian. Model defeated DCCS, so they own the tiebreaker, even with a loss to RMA in Week 6. They'll be the #4 seed for the playoffs that begin the weekend of 11/4-11/5. 
  • In non-league action, MSD defeats California School for the Deaf-Fremont, 64-6, Model Secondary School for the Deaf defeats Alabama School for the Deaf 44-12. No report as of Sunday morning on the VFMA-Conestoga contest. 
  • Perkiomen School keeps pace in the playoff race, downing Valley Forge Military Academy 38-0, scoring on both offense and defense with a Pick 6. 
Week 5 (10/15)
  • Maryland School for the Deaf seals a playoff spot with a 58-0 defeat of Randolph Macon Academy. RB Ethan Guettler surpassed 1,000 rushing yards, rushing 5 for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns. QB Zion Ortiz continued his scoring spree, rushing 3 times for 90 yards and 1 touchdown and throwing the ball three times for 59 yards and two touchdowns. 
  • Perkiomen School keeps pace in the playoff race, downing Valley Forge Military Academy 38-0, scoring on both offense and defense with a Pick 6. 
  • Model Secondary School for the Deaf pulls the upset in the KSFL Game of the Week, pulling past Delaware County Christian School 44-28. Eagles move into a tie for the 4th, and final playoff spot in the league tournament. 
Week 4 (10/7-10/8)
  • League leading Maryland School for the Deaf uses its big play offense and smothering defense to defeat Valley Forge Military Academy 42-0, the Orioles second shutout of the season. 
  • Mercersburg Academy stays one game behind MSD in the league standings, using its power run game to go over 300 yards on the ground once again, defeating Model 36-24. 
  • Perkiomen School outlasts Delaware County Christian 14-6 to move up over the Knights in the playoff standings. 
Week 3 (9/30-10/1)
  • Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD) defeats previously unbeaten Delaware County Christian School (DCCS), 36-8. QB Zion Ortiz continues to lead the high-powered Orioles offense, throwing for 3 touchdowns and also rushing for another score. RB Nathan Sheppeck is on the receiving end of two of those TDs and also scores a rushing TD. Sheppeck gains 54 yards on just four carries. Ortiz does it on the other side of the ball as well, napping two interceptions on the night. Orioles move to 3-0 in league play; Knights fall to 2-1. 
  • Mercersburg Academy hits on all cylinders to defeat Perkiomen School 38-18. Blue Storm leads 30-6 at the half before Perk regains some ground. Ryan MacInnis with a career high four rushing touchdowns and hauls in a TD pass from QB Luke Golumbic. Perk's trademark big-play passing attack features in the second half, as QB Gavin Fuelner hits his favorite target, Chris Catania, for TD scoring strikes of 80 yards and 72 yards. Storm now 2-1; Panthers 1-1 in the league.
  • Valley Forge Military Academy (VFMA) picks up the first overtime victory of the season,  defeating Randolph Macon Academy 22-14. Trojans now 1-2 in KSFL play; Yellow Jackets fall to 0-3.  MaxPreps Scoring Recap
  • Model Secondary School for the Deaf falls to Indiana School for the Deaf, 18-6, in non-conference play. 
Week 2 (9/23-9/24)
  • Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD)  scores two touchdowns in the opening two minutes of the second half to break open a competitive contest vs. Mercersburg Academy. Orioles score on a 60 yard run to open the third quarter, then grab a Pick-6 on defense. MSD moves to 2-0 in the KSFL, 4-1 overall.

  • Perkiomen School overcomes a gritty Model Secondary School squad for a 22-20 victory; extra points a key factor in this one.
Week 1  (9/17)
  • MSD defeats Model 44-0 as the Orioles win their first KSFL contest with a resounding victory. 
  • Mercersburg Academy runs for over 300 yards and defeats Randolph Macon Academy 30-8 in the season opener for both teams. 
  • Perkiomen rolls over Milbrook School (NY) 54-22, in a non-conference battle with the New England Independent Schools 8 Player League school. 
  • Delaware Country Christian opens league play with a hard fought 26-14 victory over Valley Forge Military Academy (VFMA). 
Week 0  (9/10)
  • Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD) Defeats Valley Forge Military Academy 55-38 in KSFL debut. 
    • MSSD QB Reshawn Carter sets a new league record with six (6) touchdown passes to four different receivers, including J. Ward-Hayman, who hauls in 5 receptions, 3 for scores. ​
  • Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD) travels to Florida, defeats Florida School for the Deaf 66-0 in St. Augustine, FL. 
  • Delaware County Christian hosts Mercersburg Academy and Perkiomen School for a season prep scrimmage.
